Pinterest character counter
Paste a post and see how much of the Pinterest ceiling it uses, measured the way Pinterest measures it. The count happens in this browser tab and nowhere else.
Counted as you type, in this tab. There is no request carrying it anywhere, and nothing is stored.

How Pinterest counts a post
Pinterest accepts 500 characters in the body of one post, measured in characters as a reader would count them, so an emoji or an accented letter costs one. This page applies the same rule our connector applies before it sends a post.
A link costs exactly the characters it occupies, so a long URL costs more of the ceiling than a short one.
Which account these numbers describe
The conservative case: a newly connected account with no raised eligibility. Some platforms lift a ceiling once a channel or a business is verified, and where that happens the page says so.
This runs in your browser
Everything you type stays on this page. There is no request to a server, no storage and no analytics event carrying your text.
These tools do not publish anything. No connector has completed provider verification yet, so nothing here connects an account.
Questions
How does Pinterest count a character?
By grapheme, which is the unit a reader means by a character. An emoji, a flag and a letter carrying a separate accent mark each cost one. This page measures with the browser segmenter and then applies the Pinterest rule on top.
Do links count against the Pinterest limit?
Yes, at their real length. A URL costs the characters it occupies, the same as any other text.
Does my draft get uploaded?
No. The check runs in your browser. There is no request carrying your text, nothing is stored, and closing the tab is enough to discard it.
Can this tool post for me?
Not today. No connector has completed provider verification, so nothing on this site publishes to a platform yet. This page is a limit check, not a composer.
