Video script timer
Paste a script to see roughly how long it takes to read aloud, at two stated speaking paces, and how many words that leaves you for a 15, 30, 60 or 90 second video.
Paste narration only. On-screen text or captions are not read aloud by a viewer, so leaving them out keeps the estimate closer to the real spoken length. Counted as you type, in this tab.

Word budget for common short video lengths
How many words fit in each length at each pace, and how many words of your script that leaves, rounded down so the budget never promises a fractional word.
Where the paces come from
This is plain arithmetic, a word count divided by an assumed speaking pace. Neither pace is a platform fact or a measurement of your own voice; they are two commonly cited spoken narration paces, stated plainly so the assumption is visible rather than hidden inside one confident-looking number. Your own delivery may run faster or slower than either.

Questions
Why only two paces?
Two clearly labelled assumptions are honest about what this is: arithmetic, not a measurement of your voice. Read your own script aloud once with a stopwatch if you need a number specific to you.
What does the word budget mean?
For one target length and one pace, it is the number of words that fit in that many seconds, rounded down. "Words left" subtracts the actual word count of your script from that budget; once your script runs longer than the budget, it shows how many words are over instead.
Does my draft get uploaded?
No. The check runs in your browser. There is no request carrying your text, nothing is stored, and closing the tab is enough to discard it.
Can this tool post for me?
Not today. No connector has completed provider verification, so nothing on this site publishes to a platform yet. This page is a limit check, not a composer.
