Connect Cursor to Post Array
Add Post Array to Cursor's MCP settings and sign in when Cursor asks. The agent can then draft release posts right next to your code.
How to connect it
Step 1 Add this to the file ~/.cursor/mcp.json, or to .cursor/mcp.json inside one project.
{ "mcpServers": { "postarray": { "url": "https://mcp.postarray.com/mcp" } } }Step 2 The first time Cursor uses Post Array, it opens your browser so you can sign in.
Three things to try
Turn a release into posts
Ask it
Read CHANGELOG.md and write a short post about the newest release for X and LinkedIn. Save both as drafts in my Product project and show me the previews.
Plan the week
Ask it
Draft five posts for my Bakery project, one each weekday at 9 in the morning my time. Check them, tell me about any pace warnings, and schedule them once I say yes.
Fix what needs attention
Ask it
Show me any posts that need attention. For each account, tell me in plain words what went wrong and the one thing I should do next.
You stay in charge
Your agent can read your accounts, write drafts, check them and schedule them. When it wants to post right now, Post Array gives it a link, and nothing goes out until you open it and say yes. If your project needs approval, scheduled posts wait for it too.
What it can do
31 tools, grouped by how careful they need to be: 22 only read, 6 make changes you can undo, and 3 schedule, post or cancel.
Questions
Does connecting Cursor cost extra?
Post Array does not charge for connecting an agent. Cursor may need its own plan, so check its pricing.
Can Cursor post without asking me?
No. It can draft and schedule. Posting right away always needs you to approve it in Post Array, and a project that needs approval holds scheduled posts until someone approves them.
Do I need an API key?
No. You sign in to Post Array in your browser and approve what Cursor may do. Nothing secret goes in a config file.
Ready to try it?
