How TikTok counts a post
TikTok accepts 2,200 characters in the body of one post, measured in characters as a reader would count them, so an emoji or an accented letter costs one. This page applies the same rule our connector applies before it sends a post.
A link costs exactly the characters it occupies, so a long URL costs more of the ceiling than a short one.

By grapheme, which is the unit a reader means by a character. An emoji, a flag and a letter carrying a separate accent mark each cost one. This page measures with the browser segmenter and then applies the TikTok rule on top.
